Our Boy Blakely is Still Turning Heads

Marqus BlakelyThis time in front of the NBA Scouts at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

Blurb from Hoopsworld:

Marqus Blakely Vermont 6-5, 225 Guard / Forward

The NCAA slam dunk champion played as strictly an interior player at Vermont, so teams got their first look at his potential and ability to play on the perimeter. Blakely did not disappoint, making 10-12 plays without having a pass thrown to him. Tip dunks from the wing, blocked shots on the break, steals and lock-downs on defense, Blakely showed an ability as an off the ball playmaker and defender that should catch the eye of the more discriminating evaluators in the audience.
